This Privacy Policy explains how Overdressed Inc. (“Overdressed”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Overdressed mobile application and website (the “Service”). Overdressed is based in Ontario, Canada.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. We use these to create and secure your account.
- Content you provide. Photos and images you upload — including pictures of garments, outfits, and yourself — along with any product links you import and the tags, notes, and looks you create.
- Waitlist information. If you join the beta waitlist on our website, we collect the email address you submit.
- Usage and device data. Analytics and diagnostic information about how you interact with the Service, such as events, screens viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device type, and error logs.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service — store your wardrobe, build looks, and keep your account working across devices;
- To power AI features — automatically tag garments, suggest styling, analyze outfits, and generate images from the photos you upload;
- To communicate with you about the beta, updates, and support;
- To understand and improve the Service, diagnose problems, and keep it secure; and
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
AI processing
To provide AI features, the images and text you submit are sent to and processed by third-party AI providers on our behalf, including Cloudflare Workers AI (for tagging and vision) and Google (for image generation). These providers process your content only to return results to the Service. We do not use your personal content to train our own general-purpose models.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Apple — authentication (Sign in with Apple);
- Cloudflare — cloud hosting, database, image storage, and Workers AI processing;
- Google — AI image generation;
- PostHog — product analytics and logging.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Where your data is stored
Your content is stored using Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Data for users in the European Union is stored in EU data regions; data for other users may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where we or our providers operate. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time from within the app; doing so removes your uploaded content and account data from the Service. Copies may persist for a limited period in routine backups, and we may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA or the EU/UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. You can exercise many of these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us at sasha@overdressed.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service.
